Left: I am going to help my papa cook barbeque tonight and go hunting in the morning. Right: I am prepared for success Blind, camouflaged hat, cooler, 20 gage and the right location.
The evening before the hunt the birds are double stacked on the transmission power line and triple stacked on the three phase power line.
The day began at 5:30 with sausage grits and coffee. After a safety meeting the hunters walked out to there stands and awaited sunrise. The dove began to come in around 7:00 and they came in so many at a time that every one in the field was having a hard time keeping there gun loaded. The bird slowed down around 9:00. The smiles were big and the shoulders were bruised.
The barbeque and Brunswick stew was served at 12:00 noon. We all eat and fellow shipped until 1:00pm.
Then it was nap time
The hunters returned to the field when they got ready and hunted the rest of the day.
The dove had been educated by the evening hunt and where a lot harder to hit.
This was one of our best hunts with every one having a good spot on the field. Thanks for your support and look forward to seeing you next year
